RANDOM WEDDING TIDBITS
Marriage Commissioner: Erik Hansen
Photographer/Toast: John Brecher
Dress Makers: Mary Pitiss and Joan Stoddard
Chef: Steve Sandquist (Steve is not just any chef. He recently won the Ultimate Chef Alaska Contest!)
Cake: Marcia Munsell
Honored Leader of Dog Procession: Carolyn Pitiss
Decorating: Katie Hessen (Katie has also accompanied me to Joanne Fabrics more times than you'd like to imagine!)


Rings: Lars and Sharon made their own using her mother's engagement diamond and the gold from 1) her mother and grandmother's rings, 2)gold that Lars panned as a kid growing up in Ester, 3) Lars' dads fillings!
Wedding Colors: Iris purple and Silver
Hair: Sharon had 90 bobby bins in her hair.
Booze: We made our own wine for the wedding and went through 90 bottles of it (and 6 kegs of beer).

The Cool Alaskan Honeymoon (CAH) 2007!

(Thursday 6/28 or Friday 6/29) - Fly in from your home town. Be sure to book your lodging until morning of 7/2 if you'll be joining us for the trip after the wedding.
(You are responsible for your lodging for whatever days you need before July 2 and/or after July 10 - Lars and Sharon will be booking rooms and transportation for the CAH from July 2 to July 10).  See the wedding page for suggested Fairbanks lodging!

(Saturday) June 30 - Wedding at Belfair

(Sunday) July 1 - Sharon's requested day of rest (there are many things to do in
Fairbanks)

BEGINNING OF COOL ALASKAN HONEYMOON (CAH) 2007
(Monday) July 2 - Depart at 8 a.m. for the 10 hour drive to
Valdez
(
it's not the destination but the journey that makes the trip worthwhile...). Stay at Aspen Hotel.

(Tuesday) July 3 - Boat tour in Valdez aboard the
LuLu Belle

(Wednesday) July 4 - Depart for McCarthy (4th of July parade). Stay at Ma Johnson's Hotel or Kennicott River Lodge

(Thursday) July 5 - McCarthy (mine building tour)

(Friday) July 6 - McCarthy (glacier)

(Saturday) July 7 - Depart at 8 a.m. for long trip back North to
Twin Bears Camp (Fairbanks area)

(Sunday) July 8 - Twin Bears /
Chena Hot Springs (rest and relaxation)

(Monday) July 9 - Twin Bears / Chena Hot Springs (fishing, hiking, canoeing)
